Angelica Root Historical & Current Benefits

Angelica Root has an amazing history in medieval Europe as having been used to help prevent the plague.  Angelica’s use originated when a monk said he was told by an angel in his dreams that Angelica would help with the plague.  Angelica water became an ingredient in an official remedy published by the College of Physicians in London called “The King’s Majesty’s Excellent Recipe for the Plague.”  This is no wonder since its strong blood cleansing properties assist the body’s immune system and restore overall strength.   Angelica’s primary nutrients are: Calcium, vitamins E and B12.

Modern uses cover a wide range of benefits for internal and external wound support.

*Angelica is used for poor digestion, heartburn, gas, colic, ulcer and bronchial problems.

*Angelica is invigorating and strengthening to the body and can be used as a tonic to improve
