Suma is found in the rain forests of Brazil and has been used to heal and prevent disease by herbalists, shamans and physicians.  It is used as a tonic, food, wound healer, anti-diabetic and aphrodisiac.  It’s considered to be the Brazilian Gensing and claimed to be more potent than Siberian Gensing.

It contains two plant hormones called sitosterol and stipmasterol that are beneficial to metabolism, by increasing heart circulation and decreasing cholesterol levels. Suma also enhances production of estrogen on an “as needed” basis.
Suma has properties that combat anemia, bronchitis, emotional swings, hypoglycemia, osteoporosis, strokes, skin problems, lack of vitality, hormone imbalance, degenerative diseases and immune system issues.
It contains up to 11% saponins and 19 different amino acids, as well as a variety of vitamins and minerals including iron, magnesium, zinc, B1, B2, and pantothenic acid.
